With over 30 years dedicated experience in the accessible / disabled sector, Wayne Goldman, owner of Accessible Bathroom Consultants has been involved in sourcing, specifying, and planning over four hundred and fifty adaptations which have involved a wide and varied range of specialist bathroom equipment from walk in showers and wet rooms to powered baths.
As independent consultants we are not obligated to just one company – we have worked with many key distributors and manufacturers within the industry over many years, which makes finding the right choice easier. Our purpose is to provide informed knowledge, helping clients make educated decisions when deciding on a new accessible/disabled bathroom.
We are not salespeople trying to sell you a bathroom or pushing you into a decision. We will give the information you need to make the right choices by providing impartial advice, guidance and an all-round professional service. We offer a personalised service where we visit your home and discuss your individual needs.
The consultation is about fact finding, e.g. current bathing circumstances, ideas including functionality, design, and aesthetics for you new project. We also discuss equipment availability, sourcing, and budgets and include an existing (bathroom) measured survey.
We use all the information gathered at the consultation stage including photographs of the existing bathroom and produce a first draft plan. Amendments that may be required will be discussed and adjusted accordingly.
The project handover will include layout of your proposed new bathroom, backed up with a detailed specification and guidelines, including approx. time frame and equipment advice recommendations.
When creating the layout of an accessible bathroom, functionality for short and long-term use are key. Considerations such as turning spaces, door widths, product positioning etc. should also be taken into account. Multiple layout options may be available and we would be happy discuss them with you.
There are many different suppliers and installers in the specialist bathroom sector, all offering a multitude of options for accessible bathrooms, so, it can be confusing to know where to start or what to look for. Our objective to provide you with unbiased advice and choose the best options to suit your needs.
